Our Favorite Things
Our Favorite Restaurants
Church and Union
Church and Union is our favorite restaurant in Charleston and our go to date night spot! Get a reservation ahead of time and ask the waiter to pick something off their rotating menu!
Dig in the Park
Located right near our wedding venue, Dig in the Park is one of our favorite places for happy hour! Though we rarely tried their food, we recommend your drink of choice and a pretzel!
Henry’s
Henry’s is a must see restaurant and bar! Situated in Downtown Charleston, each floor provides a different experience from the whiskey lounge to the rooftop turf!
Taco Boy
Taco Boy has multiple locations around Charleston, the closest to our venue being Summerville. We love ordering their taco platters and sampling delicious combos!
Tempest
Tempest is the seafood companion of Church and Union. Make sure to get a reservation ahead of time and try an incredible seafood dish caught right down the road!
Montreux Bar and Grill
Montreux is our favorite place to grab brunch! A bar and grill throughout the week, Montreux has a delicious brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday including the best Mimosas!
Our Favorite Things To Do
The Beach
Charleston has three incredible beaches. Sullivan’s Island and Isle of Palms are both beautiful, relaxing beaches. Folly Beach is a little further from our venue but is always a good time!
Cypress Gardens
As in The Notebook, paddling or walking through the cypress swamp is an incredible experience and only costs a reasonable park fee. Just make sure you say hi to Boss and Ally (the gators)!
High Battery Park
From Patrick’s perspective, the battery is one of the most defensible points in history dating back to the Civil War. From Anna’s perspective, the battery is a beautiful park and photo spot!
USS Yorktown
Interested in joining the Navy but need to know what you’d be getting yourself into? Or maybe you just want to see how big these boats really are? Either way this carrier is very cool to tour!
King Street
King Street is the well known main street of downtown Charleston! You can (and we have) spend all day walking into the mile and a half of stores, boutiques, restaurants and bars!
Park Circle
East Montague Avenue stemming from Park Circle is a fun strip of bars and restaurants very close to our venue! We frequently visited Park Circle for happy hour bar crawls!
